I know i'm not supposed to feel this way, but sorry, i just do. I am just getting more irritated and frustrated, well, with the parentals. They've just been enlightened on how skype works 2 Saturdays ago and ever since then they've been calling me every single day. Excuse me, my data is not free and you're not the only people I skype with! I'm only limited to 5 gb a month and it's just under 2 weeks and i've already used almost 3 gb! I know I'd bought extra 20 gb data, but i've got other things to use it for!
Like come on, you video call me when i'm cooking my lunch or dinner half way, call me when i'm in the midst of rushing my assignments, call me when i'm in the shower or in the midst of other things and you call me even when i'm on skype with someone else. Can you even leave a message to ask if i'm available first? Everytime when you see me online on skype you'll just click video call straight away expecting me to be free the whole day long.
Judith said that she only skype with her parents on a fixed day and time a week and told me if i don't want them calling me as and when they like especially EVERYDAY, log off skype, only log on when I'm free.
I'd logged off skype since yesterday mainly cuz being online all the time is obviously eating up unnecessary data when almost nobody is on for most parts of the day.
Guess what, I had to be in school by 8.15am this morning, so I had to wake up at 6.30am and leave home by 7.30am and i had to turn in earlier last night so i won't wake up late like i did last week. At 11-ish pm here last night, which is probably around 8-ish pm in Singapore, the mother sms me to ask where was i cuz i wasn't online. To the parentals, not online on skype = not at home. Around just pass midnight, kind of got up and check my hp and messaged them that i was actually in, then they said they thought that i'd got abducted or stuff like that cuz i wasn't online and didn't reply their sms (like straight away). I was like -__-". I just went back to sleep.
Today was obviously not online on skype. The mother messaged me to ask what's my commitment like cuz I've not been online these 2 days. I was like...I've been online the whole day, just not on skype.
I know they're just worried and concerned. But skype every single day? Sometimes even twice or thrice a day? Come on, you don't even see me every single day when I was still in Singapore. Can I just get some slack? ONCE A WEEK IS ENOUGH, TWICE THE MOST! I'm here to go to school, chase assignments and study my butt off, where can i possibly go in the evenings when almost all shops are already closed?
I'm sorry, but this frustration has just gotta get out of me.

Somehow I know there's heaps to blog about, but never really got the urge to do so. So, now I shall update this blog and keep it alive while I still remember and before i get distracted again and this blog will NEVER move.
So, had 2 assignments due last week. Current Issues in Accounting 12-article summaries nightmare report due last Wednesday and Management Accounting Systems 1st case analysis due on the day after on Thursday. I'm so gonna kill myself over the 2nd Current Issues individual report, which is a 25-article summaries report. It's like more than twice the articles that I had to do for the first hand-in and I had already almost died on it.
So what's left are 7 more assignments, 3 presentations and 6 more OB class role-presentations to go through over the next 2 months before the semester ends to give way to exams.
Just came back for the Current Issues in Accounting class this morning, just ate meatball sandwich from subway and heading back to school in another 30 min or so for the OB group meeting to prepare for our group role for tomorrow's seminar. I love my OB group, actually am blessed to have a good group, it's all there is to make OB more fun too.
Easter break's from 2nd to 6th April, so the school just decides to dump the semester break over it from 1st to 7th April and I've got 3 assignments due the week after on consecutive days! Guess I've an assignment-filled easter break.
Well, I gotta go prepare on my journey back to school now. I'll blog again pretty soon.

I am seriously getting a little too bored here. No skypers for a whole 2 weeks and not sure how much longer. MSN's been more and more redundant as I don't get as much chats as before. Weekends are actually starting to get really draggy, very lonely and I have no idea how to get through the next few weeks. I really want this semester to end real bad so I can make my way home. I don't care if it's only for a week or two, I just wanna go home to know what is it like to have friends again. I wanna see the dog! Jeez, sometimes when I get a little too lonely I just get the urge to call out for Milo and see him running over to me straight away with no hesitation at all. Now all I have is his pictures staring back at me.
Yes, I have assignments due next week and hardly started on any. I lack motivation and I need to find it fast!
The only thing I'm looking forward to is meeting the Singapore church peeps to go to church on Sundays and the upcoming first careteam meeting which only starts next Saturday that Johnston's form. We'll all probably stay over at uncle Charle's place and go to church together the next morning. I reckon it'll be fun and weekends won't seem like such a dread anymore (provided Johnston's planning it every Saturday).
I know I've only been here for just over 4 weeks, but I seem to be experiencing more longer days than there are shorter ones. Somebody, please please please help me get over it! I just need someone to talk to every now and then so I know that I'm not going mute anytime soon!

Apparently having long weekends is not such a great idea anymore for slacking and time off. I did not schedule any lectures and tuts on Fridays and Mondays so I've got a 4-day weekend. I guess I have to force myself into doing up the readings and tuts for the week during all my free time. Time off for 4 days is just too much of which I'd just realised this week. It wasn't so last week as I'd spent the evening at uncle Charle's place on Sat evening and a whole day of church camp on Sunday so it wasn't too bad.
Just realised today after coming back from church that I haven't really spoken to anyone on Friday and Saturday and the whole of today except at church with the church gang. Probably the whole of tomorrow will be a shut up session as well. Ahhh, what am I gonna do? I'm this close to being mental and start talking to myself. Never felt this lonely the almost 4 weeks I've been here. Everybody's kind of too busy to be skyping the last week and a half and assignments will probably start killing me pretty soon. 2 assignments due next week and have not started on them yet. Probably will be chionging them this week.
I guess the only thing that i'll be looking forward to is church on Sundays when i get to meet the singapore church kakis and for once am looking forward to careteam sessions at uncle Charle's house 2 saturdays from now. Have never looked forward to careteam this much, not even in Singapore. Hope Johnston will plan careteam as frequent as possible.
Skype anyone?

Did the laundry today after 10 days. The availability of clothes could actually last that long, but the wardrobe was almost empty when i went to wash my clothes, washed about 90% of my whole wardrobe actually. Haha.
Went to watch Remember Me at the movies just now. The cinema is probably the only place to really kill time and it's somewhere where I find really familiar and extremely comfortable in having watched a little too many movies back home. Haha. I don't reckon I'll visit the movies as much as I'd like cuz it's really expensive catching a show here. I'll still watch, but kind of restricted by the financial part of it.
I've been looking for a heater for a week now since the hail and drop of temperature the few days that follow. The temperature only started to increase yesterday afternoon and will continue to stay warm at least through the weekends. Got a little happy when I saw heaters being sold at Coles supermarket at Melbourne Central. Bought the small one for 19 bucks. That's probably the cheapest and lowest end one around. They had at $39 heater, but reckon I'll just buy the cheaper one first If it spoils half way through then may be considering buying a better one. Been looking at those from Harvey Norman actually, but they were priced between $150 to $199.
So yep, will be doing the marketing tomorrow morning at Victoria Market. Probably will just be buying veggies and fruits, maybe mince pork to make wontan, but will just have to see about it.

Just came back from church camp an hour ago. It was awesome, had fun.
Strangely, the morning after my parents left i didn't feel a thing, as if they never had come to Melbourne with me in the first place. Everything just went on as usual without the slightest hint that something may be missing. God definitely works His wonders. Great I must say.
First week of school over and done with, workload just increased by a mile. I'll only get busier over the next couple of weeks.
Yesterday had a really exciting but scary experience. It suddenly rain in the afternoon, around 3-4pm. Not that raining was something new, but it was hailing too! It was bright and sunny for a moment, and next it was totally overcast, it looked like it was already 8pm. Went to look out of the window and suddenly pieces of ice started falling from the sky. Mind you, it isn't snowing, it was hailing. It wasn't snowflakes, it was ice cubes the size of pebbles came dropping from the sky. It went on for about 5 min or so before the water came pouring in and hails came dropping down once in a while. The size of the ice were not so bad at my place, heard that in other places, the ice were as big as golf balls, some even tennis balls! Some of the streets in the city (especially the main street right out round the corner of my hostel) and Flinder's Street were totally flooded up to the ankle or knee. It was that bad. The train service was actually stopped because one of the stations had it's roof damaged and water were pouring in like a waterfall, many house roofs were damaged too due to the hail. Didn't realise the amount of damage or what was going on outside til I watched the news. It was claimed to be one of the worst thunder storms and hails in Melbourne in years! A really big eye-opener it will be for me.
Yesterday evening, went to uncle Charle's house to sleep over with Judith and Kara. Left at 7am to the church camp site. Service in the morning, devotion, lunch, went down to the beach with the guys, watched the under 30s vs over 30s soccer match for an hour or so, went back to watch the guys perform their Haka New Zealand war dance which they'd just learnt an hour or 2 before running off for the soccer match. It was H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S! Ju and I were laughing so hard at them. Recorded the practice and actual performance, shall post it up on facebook soon for everybody to laugh at. After that had a presentation by these 2 American missionaries who are doing mission work up in Kenya, East Africa. Uncle Charles and Aunty Swee Lan sent us back later on. Marcus and Johnston went with Uncle Charles. Beng, Tim, Ju and I went with Aunty Swee Lan. On the way it suddenly poured. Another thunderstorm or what they call, flash flooding. It was too heavy for Aunty Swee Lan so she exited the highway and stopped at this eatery just 5 min drive from her place for dinner, and wait for the rain to stop as well. Went to her place after that to wait for Uncle Charles to come back so he can send us back instead. (She wasn't too confident driving in this condition) Of what they said, it hasn't rain this much in Melbourne for years! Apparently, Melbourne's currently under a really serious drought, so rain is pretty much needed. But whoever did expected that it'll be massive flooding and even a hail!
Aight, should get back in packing my stuff and start with school work all over again!

The parentals left this afternoon back to Singapore. They'll probably be back in Singapore in approximately 2 hours at about 9.45pm (Singapore time).
Somehow I'm a little sad that they're leaving today. Apparently, I didn't realise until today that not having them around anymore will be rather different. This is so as over the last 2 weeks, I was rather alright when I didn't see them on a couple of days and I thought I'd be perfectly fine when they leave, but somehow I didn't realise that at the back of my mind I knew that they were still in Melbourne and around the city, I will still see them with just a phone call or if there's anything I need anyway. But somehow, now they're permanently gone from Melbourne and something feels missing. I guess I'll get used to it and adapt quickly as I always do.
Anyway, it has been really nice of Uncle Charles from the church here to offer me to stay over at his house whenever I feel homesick. I don't think that it's really necessary and don't wanna trouble him too. He has been really nice and welcoming to me and the PP church Melbourne bound youths. He brings us out almost every Sunday for lunch after church service to some sumptous chinese restaurant! Nice couple indeed. He even discounted the fees that we must pay if we want to attend church camp over the weekend as A$100 for it is a little too expensive for full time students like us. Judith and I are intending to attend the camp only on Sunday and since uncle Charles don't usually stay over in camp, he offered to pick us up from the city on Saturday night to go over to his house to stay so we can set off early on Sunday morning to the camp site. Judith and I can take 6.30am train down to the Boxhill station on Sunday morning, but according to uncle Charles, the train service or rather stations are not very safe especially early in the morning or after 5-6pm, so it's better for him to come down to pick us on Saturday instead. The boys will be going down on both Saturday and Sunday and going back with uncle Charles to stay at his house too, so should be a fun night being with people that you're more familiar with after a really long while.
Aight then, I've got an article summary to complete and email my lecturer by tomorrow, better get it done before going to bed tonight. It's only the second day of school and the work is already piling. I've got another 2 modules coming up tomorrow. It'll be a heavy day (as of every Thursdays of course) from 9.30am all the way to 3.30pm with no break in between the lectures and tuts.
Goodnight people! (Somebody, please skype soon! Any takers this week?)

It's March! Officially March...and the official start of autumn! It'll be just 10 months now before I make my way back to Singapore! (dang, can't believe I'm already counting down just after 2 weeks!)
It's a scheduled laundry day today. I've washed the clothes and they're currently in the dryer now with approximately 30 min to go, so decided to come back after dumping the clothes in the dryer for a 60 min cycle to eat some nutella spread bread and blog. I'm scheduling my next laundry next Friday, if I've run out of clothes then I'll have no choice but to revert it back to Monday, so we'll see how it goes.
The new school semester starts today, my 6th semester and my 1st here in Melbourne. I'm nervous, I've a 1 hour Introduction to Organisational Behaviour later on from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and then I'll be off meeting my parents for dinner before coming back to the village. I'll be officially by myself in 2 days after they fly back to Singapore on Wednesday. Don't worry, I'll survive. I'm just making full use of their wallets right now as much as I can before they go back.
I'm sure I'll be fine, if everybody just continue skyping with me to keep me sane! Nobody has skyped with me in 1 week!! The last time i skyped was last Sunday with Yun Jie, Pei Yin and Eileen. I think I'm gonna be skype deprived really soon if there's nobody on to skype with over the next few days / weeks.
Alright, I guess I'd better be cleaning up my room right now, wrap my OB book for this afternoon and head back to the laundry room to get my dried clothes and iron out those necessary ones.
