I'm stuck in the office again...lunch time had just passed and quite a number of ppl are not back yet. I've moved to the back to work, out of the auditors' section. At the back's the same, 4 tables and i'm sitting at the table in the middle, more specifically the 2nd from the left. There's only 3 tables occupied in this row, the 1 at the right end is empty because i supposed that's the table of 1 of the staff that had just resigned because she received a scholarship to UK to study..lol..so i suppose the company is trying to look for somebody else to fill in her space. I'm sitting between Auntie Ros and a part-timer, i suppose her name is Sharon and she doesn't look quite friendly and i've nevery spoken to her before. Sitting beside Auntie Ros is fun though cause she everytime talk to me then she got some stories also tell me..actually quite funny lah. So today, Auntie Ros got 1/2 the day off and the part-timer's not working so i'm just 1 lonely person sitting at the back and blogging like nobody's business.
I have no idea why ppl are telling me the same thing now. My parents asked me to work here for a while, maybe a month or 2, then ask them whether i can join the company as a full time employee. Then, on Tuesday, Auntie Ros asked me why i don't wanna join as full time since i'm working for around a year in this company and they're paying interns like me peanuts ($500 to be exact) and that i don't expect to be paid at this rate for a whole year right. Maybe if it's for a 2-3 months period interning here maybe a few hundred bucks would be fine. So she asked me to ask Mr Lim since they're probably gonna advertise for a vacancy here, but if i ask him, i'll have no idea how to put it through in words, so she asked me to ask Auntie Hedy to ask Mr Lim for me. And just when she said that, that very same afternoon Auntie Hedy happened to be in the office and she walk pass to talk to me like how's work and all. Then...Auntie Ros kept asking me to ask her about the full-time thingy and so i cannot not ask because Auntie Hedy notice Auntie Ros was trying to tell me to ask her something..lol. So Auntie Hedy was like..ok..she'll try to ask Mr Lim...lol. 1 reason my parents ask me to join as a full-time staff because as an intern, it may not be possible for me to take leave and it's not possible to don't take leave for a whole year right, after scully my parents wanna bring us go on a holiday and i've gotta stay and slog my guts out just because i may not be able to take leave...so they ask me to join as full-time so i can apply for leave, then there's also a lot of benefits like medical and what not.
The sad thing about working as full time is that i have to give up my 5-day week which i'm enjoying now, because full-time staff have to work on alternate Saturdays. Now, i'm just doing some book-keeping stuff..this is my 2nd accounts that i'm working on and almost gonna complete. For some reason i'm just taking my own sweet time to do it all, today's my 8th day here and i'm only doing my 2nd account...i'm taking like 4 days to do 1 company's account. Auntie Ros is not helping me in anyway...because she's like goin 'you're still new in this area....take your time...slowly slowly do lah' ....lol. I don't suppose i'm supposed to be this slow, but since my supervisor didn't say anything, then i shall not give a damn..lol. I guess i better continue with my work and i've left only a bit more to complete this account and i think my supervisor's expecting me to hand in all the accounts for her to check today and hand it over to the auditors and i guess she has 1 more company's account for me to do..so be back someday soon to blog.
